Since they are hexagons, any 60 degree triangle will work. Fold the honeycomb in quarters until you find the center, mark that and then use a 60 degree triangle with the 60 degree angle at the center mark. If you cut carefully, you should be able to get 6 small triangles from one honeycomb. Not sure about diamonds, though.
