This year my stitching purchase will be a new cabinet...perhaps not a Koala but one that has the lift and allows my machine to be flush with surface.
Even that little Gidget 2 allows you to get your machine flush & fill in with an insert. I'm glad I got mine... I just need to get the acrylic extension table for my Ellisimo so I can get her to go flatbed style.

Just a thought... if you have a machine and have the acrylic extension table that may have either come with it or maybe a Sew Steady extension table - those work fabulously with the Gidget 2.... you just don't put the little legs on it and it will sit on the table perfectly with your machine lowered down.

My first sewing machine cabinet was a beautiful armoir style with an electric lift, etc. I sold it when I moved because it was horribly heavy to move. Even having had that in my past, I'm still super happy with the setup I have now.
