Do the background as one piece with a one piece rose applique on top.

Is it okay if I decide which way to do it, or is there a preferred way for the swap? Want to be sure I do it right being a first time swapper with you gals

Thx for your opinion,

you can do what ever method makes you happy - you have total creative license. the only rules you need to follow are the colors of fabric.
Ditto! :-)

Personally, I'd do it in one piece, it seems crazy to break it into four when the colour of the rose is the same.
