I think klue mentioned a while ago that some blocks seem to have piecing in odd sections, it may have been that Jane didn't have enough fabric and had to piece to get it to work. I know I've done a triangle and accidentally cut off the end, so I've pieced another bit on rather than unpick and remake it. Anyone looking years in the future would think "why on earth did she piece that bit, it could have been done in one" LOL
