Does anyone hand sew? Ok... stupid question, I know some do. But when I see Y seams I think of doing that section by hand, like hexagons are done... with the fabric tacked to paper patterns (or in this modern day, ironed onto freezer paper, and then hand stitched together. Small neat whip stitches can make a seam just as strong as a machine can.
