It's 2" unfinished width after each cut. From the center seam, measure and cut 1 inch to the right. Rotate 180 degrees. Measure and cut 1 inch from the center seam giving you a 2" strip. Do the same thing with the other center seam.
You should have four 2" unfinished strip units after cutting your four-patch.
