I have only made the pointed Dresden blades. Have had no problem with the points doing it Jenny Doan and Craftsy teacher's way. Right sides together, sew across the wide end, barely snip the corner, turn, sharpen point gently with tip of scissors, make sure seam is centered and gently press blade.
Sounds difficult but truly it isn't.
