So many batting has been mention but I would just suggest you don't want to buy an inexpensive batting at the fabric chain store because with the cost and time that you invested in making this quilt, you might regret using cheaper batting in a few years. I have always loved Hobbs 80/20. It does have a slight puffiness but most poly will also give you that puffiness. Quilter's Dream is a bit more expensive but is one of the highest quality of batting available. You might call their offices and inquire what they would recommend. Maybe they could send you some samples. I remember them being located on the east coast. Good luck.
