I knit 3 needle patterns and use bamboo double pointed needles. I was used to using metal ones and when I went to buy a set all they had was bamboo so bought those. I really like those much better.
Would they consider a wooden needle a weapon? I'm assuming that is why you need plastic rather than metal.
