Finished my greenwork wall quilt! This is An Original Quilting Bee design I bought at a Shipshewana shop hop in 2012. The pattern actually calls for a patchwork border, which I tried to do. But it made it too busy & it took focus away from the embroidery. So I decided on a solid border. In the border, I quilted FMQ the names of quilting friends in another forum I belong to. I matched the thread so well to the green that you can't notice the names.

I just love it because it does bring back memories of my maternal grandmother quilting just like that in the kitchen, she hung her frames from the ceiling from small ropes above the table, I do miss her quite a bit she died when I was only 14 and I am now 51. She was a special lady in my life.
