The more I look at this quilt, the more peaceful it seems. It's very earthy in design and what I suggest, is in only the middle top and middle bottom white triangles, and in the first large triangle on the left and the second large triangle on the right, use some DMC floss or regular quilting thread and stitch or quilt an outline of the trees, alternating each using a lighter green and lighter brown.

Another thing you could do if you *want* the color, is to make a fabric star, gold or red, and place it atop the two middle trees, vertically.
