the last patent date on them is 1887, SteveH may know more about their age. I don't know when Peerless stopped mfg - or what happened to the company, though I suppose they got bought and taken over by one of the others. Greist (after separating from Singer) ended up buying out a lot of the other attachment MFG but earlier on there were a lot of different ones.
it's rather interesting to compare attachments and seeing the differences. Early Singer tuckers looked just like the Greist ones, but after they separated, Singer came up with a unique Tucker that was nothing like the Greist style ones.
