Default Opinion on label placement

I put together a quilt top with sampler blocks from a block exchange. I checked all the blocks over and repaired seams before I put the sashing on. I sent the top out to be quilted . And now I had the quilt laid out on my big table, pinning the binding on; and I found a block right in the middle that a seam was pulled apart. I tried stitching it up , but one of the fabrics just frays. I can't take it apart to repair it. My only idea to fix it now is to place my label over it. But I usually put my labels on the back. This is for my Niece's graduation. Will this look stupid to have the label on the front and in the middle of the quilt. or should I put something else over it ? Thanks for your advice.
