What a treasure trove. I'm an organization freak when it comes to my quilting fabric. I just finished organizing my fabric shelves again, because we all know we pull and stick back in any spot that has a space when we're in the throes of choosing fabric for a new project. Like suggested above, I'd first separate in kinds of fabric, cottons, polyesters, wool, knits, etc. Then deal with one type at a time. Sort each kind into color and/or size, and scraps, then fold and tuck away in its bin. One important thing I don't remember being said is that each bin needs an easily read Label.
