McCall's Quick Quilts is targeted for beginners, but all of them will most likely have a beginner's project or two in each issue. Carve out some me time, head for the newsstand section of the bookstore and browse away to get a feel for each publication and see which one(s) appeal most to you.

I'm not a fan of fabric of the month clubs because I don't want to pay for any fabric I might not like. Keepsake Quilting does offer nice fabrics; their homespun plaids are great.
