These are times that we need to walk away from situations. It is sad that a quilt has mildew. I have never had to deal with that problem before. What does he want to do with it?? If this continues to spin out of control. I would suggest that the good portions if any, are cut up and professionally framed for descendants of this lady. Just a suggestion. Sometimes quilts are beyond repair.
