I recently bought a fat handled seam ripper, but can't remember who makes it, probably Clover. it has an indented, rubberized center, where the fingers rest, and is more comfortable than the skinny one I had before. I agree, the bigger handle makes it easier to use........of course mine doesn't have a nice wooden handle like yours, but it will do until your brother starts to make them to sell!
