Default Astonished at the MN Sate Quilt Show

Last weekend my Mom & I went to the MN State Quilt Show. We had a fantastic day, looked at the Blue Diamond class quilts, the Judged class quilts and wandered over to the non-judged quilts. I told my Mom that I nearly missed entering anything but saw a call out for more quilts and an extended deadline for the non-judged class. I had a couple of nice quilts to share, not perfect, not nearly good enough for the judged class but people may get a kick out of them, enjoy the colors. Glanced over & saw my Barn Quilt and there was a RIBBON next to it! I thought it was a mistake. Astonished, flabbergasted, entirely delighted - my BlockSwapper "Barn Quilt" won the President's Choice Award! The President of the MN Quilters liked the bright colors and that each barn has a unique hand embroidered weathervane. Best of all, I got to share the excitement with my (nearly 82 yr old) Mom. Moral of the story - enter your quilts, don't let the pursuit of perfection keep you from sharing your quilts!! Enter your local quilt show, your county fairs, your state shows, and enter the national shows!!!
