Hoping for the best - that is one of my fears as my main machine (over 30years old) has electronics, so I figure some day I'll go to turn it on and nothing will happen.

Had a bit of a heart stopper one day. I had wound bobbins and then went to sew and the motor would go but the needle would not. Shut it off and turned it back on = still no go . . . then I realized I left a bobbin on the winder. The machine has a little pin on the bobbin spool that disengages the drive when a bobbin is placed on it. Also realized I had the wrong bobbin in the machine. Wound one and then got distracted and grabbed a slightly different colored one sitting on the table next to the machine and put that one in the case instead of the one I just wound. (Ok so I'm over 50 . . .)
