I use a Sailrite machine which is the same machine fancied up a bit by Sailrite. The machine is extremely heavy. I am a strong woman and move my machines around all the time - vintage Singers, Pfaff's and the like. I will not attempt to pick the Sailrite machine up. I have one of the guys move it for me. It is loud. It is very fast but, it can also be slowed down to stitch precisely. It is not suited for light weight fabric. I repair American flags, tents, and upholstery and it is best suited for these type jobs. I'd never quilt with one or try to sew garments with one.

My Sailrite was gone over an adjusted before it was sent to me. The Rex is what you get out of the box and you could end up having to have it professionally serviced to even get it to stitch properly. It isn't uncommon to have stitch problems with them or for them to be out of adjustment.
