This just hurts. My sewing newbie friend Hazel lives in Adelaide and I sent the link to her. She filled her car with vintage and antique sewing machines and he wanted $30. "I also bought an old Wertheim hand crank for $2. All the decals have worn off but it's a nice machine." She followed this up with photos of these machines. I can't post them (every time I look I get a bit teary but the machines were in really nice condition).
Last night she wrote "After saying to the chap that I would contact you to see if you were interested in any I rang him up today and he had taken the rest to the scrap metal yard!!! He had told me he would keep it all for a another couple of weeks. I was disappointed as I was going to buy a few more."
