Ggal, I don't have an Accuquilt cutter but I use a June Tailor Shape Cut ruler. It's about 13" square and has slots marked every 1/2" for your rotary cutter blade to slide along. You don't move the ruler, just move up to the next slot. I cut all my sashing strips and borders with this ruler and don't get the dreaded "dog leg" or "v" cuts. I got it at Joanne's for less than $20, probably used a coupon.
