I'm struggling finding a light batik to use for a Shakespeare in the Park (I've been contemplating just using all mediums and darks because I couldn't find a light I liked but advice has told me that I really need more contrast which I agree). Here is the thread:

I think I want to use the same light fabric for all the "light" values in this quilt. Has anyone ever commissioned someone to custom dye white batiks to the color you are wanting?
I want something that is very, very light with just a subtle swirl of blues and lavendars. I've found a few almost good matches (Java Light Pink and something else) but they have a yellow tone swirled into them that I do not like. I find that the Bali 1895 fabrics don't go light enough.
If you have done this, can you tell me about your experience and who you used if you remember? Thanks.
