Default Discovered something new about this treadle mechanism

I was doing other things in the garage, and I always like the sensation of turning handcranks, and spinning treadle flywheels. I'd noticed earlier, that more some reason it was always easier to get this Empira to go in the right direction. I'd also picked up on Willcox & Gibbs treadles as having a rubber ball that would fall into place wedging it from going in the wrong direction. Well, turns out this Empira has a similar idea that I think could easily be adapted to other treadle mfrs. Its, simply a short iron lever that drops down on the belt, because the hinge is upstream, so to speak, it allows the belt to move in one direction.
