When I look at the black and white image of your fabrics, I see medium lights and mediums. I echo the concern about there not being enough contrast.

Have you thought about using medium dark through dark purple and blue fabrics to get a little higher level of contrast to effectively show off the pattern? Contrast doesn't have to be as stark as black and white. Most of my quilts have a medium level of contrast, going from medium light to medium dark. I rarely use whites or very darks.
