I am a transplanted Florida girl. I lived in Texas for 30 years. Where I was it took 3 hours to get to the show in Houston, and 20 minutes to get to my favorite little quilt shop. Where I am now, the closest LQS is 45 minutes away, and Houston is 1000 miles. I would pick Texas. It just seems like there were more quilt shops. I had 2 within 30 minutes. I do have a nicer house here,so compromise is a necessity.
