Get yourself some graph paper. Measure everything you need/want in your room and cut out scale pieces. Make sure you mark all the doors/windows. Keep in mind to mark the swing of the door as well. Then play paper dolls with the cutouts until you get everything arranged the way you want. You will probably change your mind about some of the smaller stuff once you actually get everything moved in but having a plan should reduce the changes to a dull roar. Congrats on the new room.
