Put it in a plastic or paper bag with charcoal. Charcoal removes smells wonderfully. We had a basement flood once and my stored antique furniture smelled awful afterwards. I put bags of charcoal on the floor and closed the door and all the smell left. After than happened, charcoal has saved me many times with bad odors.
