It's called Quilt Block Tool. It's a paid app available on Amazon and Google Play. It tells you how many pieces you need to cut for a certain block. Some start at 3" and go to 15". Also divided by grids. 2 grid would be Flying Geese,9 grids - Golden Gate. There's an assembly guide, too.
Re the Barn Quilts:
Another forum I belong to had a gentleman recreating traditional Quilt block barn patterns in wood. I think he was selling them for outdoor use, but the patterns for most of these blocks are public domain.
