I would say yes! That is how I would respond and also let your husband know that it eats about 5-6 yards per week.
As for the teenager, I think most would agree that they are ready to be out on their own way before 17. They tell us from about age 15 on that they cannot wait to move out. I am sure she would consider it a lovely christmas gift if you asked her to move out. LOL!
