I had thought to do that also but the price I got was $5000 to convert to standup! Hard to make a decision on which way to go! Right now I can't seem to get a smooth quilting look. I have the stitch regulator & everything else I could buy to help but still not satisified with how I'm doing. I have tried the standup & it is so much smoother looking than the sitdown! I hesitate to spend that much because of my age but that's just an excuse to not do it. At this point I am still practicing & hoping to get better! Good luck!
