I stitch using 1/4" but I watched that Patrick Lose mention he stitches 3/8" seam. So whatever your seam width is, that is the measurement of when to stop and turn the corner. I found it very interesting to see that he stops and then stitches diagonally off at the corner, then cuts the thread. does his fold and starts stitching again. After quilting for over 25 years, I said HUH?? But I was stitching 1.75" binding on my mug rugs and was so surprised to see nice even miter corners. Must be on YouTube somewhere. I taped the show.
