I definitely like the sashing as stated before it might look bulky now, but not after you sew it. I might suggest a 2 inch sashing , which would give you a 1 1/2 inch after you sew. (Maybe even 1 1/2"). As for the border,I like the green you have on the leaves. Lovely quilt.
