I have 2--a Singer we bought when first married. Have never had a bit of trouble with it, has had 2 new motors which my DH installed for me. It has sewn millions of miles, and I still love it. I sew on it in the afternoons as it has good lighting in that room and enjoy sitting in there.
When I first Retired 10 yrs. ago, I bought a Featherweight. Love this one also, and it gives the greatest stitch and runs so smoothly.
That is all the machines I want or have room for. Our oldest granddaughter is getting pretty good at sewing, so have promised to help her Mom, or daughter go to my tech. and get a featherweight.
