awhile ago I was watching a forestry/parks program that mentioned sleeping bags were made out of recycled bottles--I was amazed, but GLAD that recycling has FINALLY caught on !!!
We bought carpet some years back that was made out of recycled pop bottles. It's a long story as to why we did that, but basically, we needed something for high traffic and that would be durable. Every time we had it professionally cleaned, we were told that it was a really good carpet and easy to clean. No one else knew it was made out of recycled pop bottles. It looked the same after several years of use as it did the day of installation. I'm all for sensible recycling!
