I bought some flannel backing fabric but haven't washed it yet to see how it pills. But I can say it is a very nice weight.
If you want to "sample" buy from them try the short cuts. They sell name brands such as Henry Glass, Windham, Stonehenge, Bernatex, Bella solids, Moda. To get to the short cuts click on Find a Fabric > Expanded search > Item number - type in SB [for sale bin]. There you will see all of the
short ends and you can pick and chose what you want to try for small dollars.
I do not shop at JoAnn's for any of my fabric needs. The fabric is a lesser quality IMHO. Why waste my money. There are so many great online stores to order from and there is often a sale on one of them.
