The Ecolux wiring is white. I know that doesn't improve the lighting but it makes a difference to me what I have to look at.
While I would have chosen white if it was an option, I couldn't justify $80 compared to $25 I paid just to get a white cord. I can't see the cord since the back of my machine faces the wall, so I really don't care. If it bothered me that much, I'd spray paint it.
