While I would have chosen white if it was an option, I couldn't justify $80 compared to $25 I paid just to get a white cord. I can't see the cord since the back of my machine faces the wall, so I really don't care. If it bothered me that much, I'd spray paint it.
I know me and I would always wished I had the white every time I saw the black cords. I did paint a lamp cord to match the wall but it looked like a painted cord up close.
