Worried about my Quilter's Dream wool batting
I just tried the Sharon Schamber binding method and loved it. It uses glue to secure the binding before sewing, and a hot iron to set the glue. I also recently purchased my first wool batt, Quilter's Dream, because they say it doesn't shrink. Now I see that they say not to use an iron on this batting because it is thermally bonded with something that melts at low temperatures. I assume this means, not to iron a quilt that's made with the batting? If that's right, then I won't be able to use the glue binding method with the wool batting, which is quite disappointing.
I wondered if anyone has had experience with heat + Quilter's Dream wool, or with pre-washing Hobb's wool batting, or using heat on that. Thanks!
