So true! When I first started quilting, the only place for me to get material was Wallmart, and those quilts are still in use, that was 12 years ago. You just have to check the feel. A lot of these small LQS do not have high quality material, but still sell it at high prices. So, just pick what you like and what feels right for you.Also, if there is a Hobby Lobby near you, they have great material. You can go on line and get a 40% coupon any time you want it. I am not a big Joann's fan either. Also, check on line, lots of places are having sells.
