Lovely inspiration for when/if I ever get around to doing my FW table, extension, and 301 card table. Was going to do them by the end of Summer but Life sometimes gets in the way. What grit did you sand them with? You did a lovely job.
I did use chemical stripper then sanded with a medium and then a second pass with a fine grit There are still a few deep scratches and gouges, but I didn't want to fill them and then have the grain lines distorted and I still want the table to look its age, but nice for it's age. The veneers on these card tables and the other Singer tables are very thin, so I don't go heavy with the sanding.
