It's probably your sharpener. I use a small aluminum sharpener from my art/college days. It is the only one that doesn't shred the chalk or whatever that stuff its. But as you can see there are better things out there. I also switched to the mechanical ceramic pencil but I am trying to use up the regular style pencils.
