The part that gets my goat is that many people I know and trust in the electronics industry say that LEDs don't have to be expensive. It's not new technology, it's not even "especially" hard to make, they charge what they do because they can, because it's "Green". That sounds like extortion to me.
Yes, I still buy LEDs when they're cost effective enough
