I started making scrappy blocks this spring (posted here
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t244263.html) and made some more this summer, until I finally got tired of making them! I put them together and this is the result. The black triangles and borders are black with different gold metallic designs from my stash. I did buy the binding--black with colored polka dots. I know the whole quilt is a little goofy but I like seeing fabrics from my different projects.
The bird fabric backing is something I picked up at a thrift store but it wasn't big enough, so I continued with bright, bold colors to get a big enough backing. The piece at the top is a hanging sleeve, although I don't know if I'll ever hang it.
I'm thinking of calling it 'Rainbow Medley.'
