As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I have always used Mettler Silk Finished thread which is what my Bernina dealership advised me to use many years ago. My Bernina 1530 is still running smoothly. I never put a cheap grade of oil or gas in my car when I use to drive and I do the same with my DSM. Some of these newer models actually cost more than a down payment on a new car. YIKES !!!
