Default Out on a Limb Quilt by Charisma

A few months back I had a few scraps from another project that I had finished. Do you know how sometimes you just love a line of fabric and you don't want to forfeit those scraps into the never ending bucket of your normal scraps? That's how I felt about this scraps. SO I decided to make something improv from them using a bunch of gray fabric I had laying around.
Its a modern quilt. Sometimes when I put one of these simple quilts together I feel like I am cheating because there isn't much piecing in them. But what I lack in piecing I make up for in quilting.

So when I pulled this out earlier this week..I thought of a big tree in the center. I quilted the tree, with roots, and a swing, grass, flowers...different words & quotes. Birds ect. Teh pictures don't do it justice. I also quilted in a heart knot hole with mine & my Dh's initials...cause I am a romantic like that. This was a free form project....I just pinned it on and didn't any marking other than the outline of the tree. I just let my mind wander....as I quilted along.

Thanks so much for looking. I really appreciate it!
