Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I still have lots of scraps, even though I've been quilting for only 7 years. This was a project that I did when I didn't have a particular quilt that I wanted to do (or felt like doing).

love, love it which block pattern did you use looks a bit like a variation of Log cabin.
It is a half log cabin block--I started with a 2 1/2 inch fabric square, then added strips to two adjoining sides of that square instead of all four sides. I trimmed the blocks to 6 1/2 inches. I got the idea for the blocks here
