i noticed that too. i had used shot cottons, or at least they looked like the modern shot cottons when i was a teen. the weave was heavier than the calico i also used for sewing clothing, but not as heavy & course as the new shot cotton coming out now. i won't be buying any because i don't like the course texture...tho maybe it could be used w vintage feedsack fabric when a solid color would be good addition to a block or a sashing or ...
