No, I didn't post it. ER is Edie Ruedy and hausfrau is German for housewife. I am half Swedish and half German, but some of the German words describe me better. ERflicka - just doesn't go with me. I am no more a Flicka than the man in the moon! Flicka is girl in Swedish. Hausfrau is a woman who does absolutely everything from making a good dinner (at least tries to) to tightening a bolt on a chair! It even sounds strong. I love both languages, but German just fits me better. I take after my father (Swedish) who was ever so kind and good, but I take after my mother (German) who put her foot down when she had to and is a strong woman. So putting the two of them together has worked out perfectly for me. And for my husband - he is German (father) and Norwegian (mother), so he has the same traits as I and it has worked tremendously for the last 49-1/2 years. Hopefully in June of 2010 we will travel to the Little Brown Church in the Vale (the song) in Nashua, Iowa and renew our vows for another 50 years!

I love to know the meaning of other user names also.

Have a nice day! We are heading out this afternoon to have my husband's head checked!!!!! He had a basal cell carcinoma on his forehead and had it removed (second time) and then put that one to rest! I am at the age now where I get something done and out of the way and I can forget about it. And his doctor's appts are something I just want to forget about!
