Wait, don't give up on the idea too fast. While I have to admit that I have hated joining the blocks the way they instructed, goosetracks was the most enjoyable thing I have ever made on my embroidery machine. There were a lot of materials to get together at the start but I have lots of pieces left over and a wonderful collection of threads.
Thanks for sharing your pictures SheriR. You've inspired me to start another one but this time i'll just put a backing on and accept a plain boring back.
